It’s December 1st! That means finals are approaching (Boo), the year is almost half over & it’s almost Christmas break! It also means, it’s the day I announce my Class of 2014 Spokesmodels! I got entries from many wonderful girls & I am so excited to get to know these amazing girls over the next couple of months as we meet for a shopping trip & lunch, shoot an awesome session for my Ad Campaign &  give them the opportunity to feel like a model!  So, are you excited to know?????? 😉 (First another one of my favorites from my 2013 Spokesmodels as this is a photo blog so it needs a photo, lol)

Jordan :: Columbia High School Class of 2013 Lake City, FL Senior Portrait Photographer | Senior Portraits

Early in the morning I Halloween I met up with Jordan & his girlfriend Ashlyn (I mean Alyssa….sorry, had to insert the inside joke, lol). Despite the cold we had a wonderful time. Jordan was a natural & Ashlyn is a stunner too so adding her in a few shots was easy. After learning more about Jordan I decided on a few fun spots for an Urban shoot.

I have to say, Jordan ROCKED it…if we lived in New York or LA he would be modeling for sure. Every shot was awesome & it was hard to pick which to share.  His style was perfect as well….everything working together for an amazing session. I am LOVING all my clients from the Class of 2013 & how awesome their sessions work out. I’m excited about my Winter & Spring sessions as well & of course, starting on the Class of 2014 this summer!

Class of 2013:: Isabelle Jacksonville, FL Senior Portraits | Jacksonville, FL Senior Portrait Photographer

I am LOVING my Class of 2013 Senior Portrait sessions!  This one was no different. I met this beautiful girl & her mom at Boone Park in Jacksonville.

Which was a fabulous site for portraits in the midst of the city. Despite the rain we got some fabulous photos!

We then moved on to Avondale where we got a Hollywood vibe going on. Bright colors, great lighting & a gorgeous model. Perfection.

We tried a crazy idea I had last of the parking garage. She did amazing & completely ROCKED all her photos! I was so happy to be able to meet them & have such a good time taking her portraits.

Congratulations Isabelle! I know you will do great things!!

Dreaming of Summer Senior Session :: Meghan :: CHS Class of 2013 Jacksonville, FL Senior Portraits, Live Oak Senior Portrait Photographer

Meghan was one of my Spokesmodels for the ad for the Suwanee High School Football Program.  She knew when we booked her full session exactly what she wanted. Something you don’t typically get in Live Oak, FL.  The beach.  We set up a board on Pintrest & shared ideas, what to wear, poses for her Senior portraits & eventually I found a shot of an old VW Van we both loved.  I had a mission. To find a van we could use. I hit up some people I knew in Jacksonville Beach that may know someone with an old van & I was right. I was so excited when the women texted me a pic of the van & knew it was perfect. (& Meghan about ran when she saw the van turning down the street the night of the session. She was excited)

But the whole session wasn’t the van so we met near the beach, went through her trunk to choose the outfits for each area & hit up some neat backgrounds we found while we walked around the block….literally. We walked around the block & shot at the different interesting backgrounds we found.  That’s how I roll. Pretty random. Then we headed to the beach to include her favorite props (her sister & her dog) & a few more alone on the beach then met up with the van. It was alot of fun (even though at some point I realized I had the virus my daughter had..but I was determined to finish this session & make it wonderful).

Summer filled Senior Portrait Session

So, I saw this quote & HAD to share it…..it’s a perfect life quote. Especially when you’re consistently worrying about what others thing (& we ALL do it). Often we just need someone to give us a little push to make that leap. But it’s worth it.

It’s AUGUST. School is starting soon, things will be going into high gear for YOUR Senior Year!  Don’t forget to book your Senior Portrait session before the craziness begins! Even if you’re booking for January it’s always best to book sooner than later.  You don’t want to be stuck with a worse than wanted day or time slot you hate (i.e. mornings) because you waited.  To see all my work head to the Senior Vision Website or go ahead and like us on Facebook.

Annabelle :: CHS Class of 2013 | Lake City, FL Senior Portrait Photographer | High School Senior Portraits

Last Thursday I had to opportunity to meet up with the winner of my giveaway from June. Annabelle had some great ideas of what she wanted to incorporate into her photos & their car was loaded with the props. 🙂  We met at the Spring House in White Springs & went from there. She was a natural beauty who enjoyed the camera & smiled easy. Making my job even easier.

Though I was reminded why I always  need a bottle of bug spray in my car, the session turned out wonderful. Even working in a bench taken from her grandfather’s school house from when he was a child. We all know I love a little vintage. 🙂

Annabelle : Class of 2013 Senior Portraits | Lake City, FL

The White Tshirt. A fashion staple. | Lake City, FL Senior Portrait Photographer |

I was watching a show yesterday & they were giving tips on one of the American classics of fashion. The white tshirt.   Ways to take a simple white t (they had a $15 one from Gap), add a few accessories & different bottoms/layers to make it work for you for multiple occasions.

This is PERFECT thinking for any photo shoot. ALWAYS bring a white shirt & black shirt to a session. Why?  Because they are staples. No matter what else you bring they can be mixed & matched, dressed up & down to make fabulous, timeless outfits that can fit any location & style.

Here are a couple ideas I through together from Polyvore.  With my upcoming Football Ad session coming Monday in Live Oak as well as TWO upcoming Senior Sessions for some CHS class of 2013 members the Senior portrait season is in full swing!  Plan ahead!

How Pintrest Can Help YOUR session! :: Lake City, FL Senior Portrait Photographer | Senior Portraits

So, many are on Pintrest. Highly addictive & definitely gobbles up time before you know it. But how else can you get great fashion ideas, future home ideas & more all in one place?  🙂  I LOVE Pintrest.  And, as I have pointed out in a previous blog about the wonders of Pintrest you can read here, it can REALLY help your session.

I am busy scheduling my Senior Portrait sessions for the Class of 2013 & on the new questionnaire my Seniors fill out I ask about Pintrest. Already I have a board set up for an upcoming Senior session. She & I can both post clothing, posing, props, location, etc… ideas so that we are on the same page for her session & can be sure that her session is AMAZING. Because that’s the end result we both want.

It’s a fun way to keep in touch, plan your session & through out ideas……gotta admit again. I love Pintrest.
