Laura :: A little Bit Country :: Class of 2013 Live Oak, FL Senior Portrait Photographer | High School Senior Portraits

Last Friday I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph the beautiful Laura. A Senior from Tallahassee who traveled to me for her portraits (can’t say how flattered I am too). She wanted something different than Tallahassee offered, something country. I met her at the salon while she was getting her hair styled & went through her bags (yes, multiple) of clothes to style the session. Knew what locations I was wanting to use I chose the outfits I thought would fit best.

From there we headed to our first location. Laura was a natural. Easy to smile & easy to pose. A photographer’s dream.

From there we headed to the bridge to do a little more of an urban/country mix. The bridge provided a great background (despite the bugs). All the colors & rust make for a fabulous spot.

Last we headed to her aunt & uncle’s field. It was a great field. Perfect. Even the cows wanted in on the session. 🙂 She did wonderful & I loved the results. As the sun went down I even got to play with my flash a little. 🙂

Dreaming of Summer Senior Session :: Meghan :: CHS Class of 2013 Jacksonville, FL Senior Portraits, Live Oak Senior Portrait Photographer

Meghan was one of my Spokesmodels for the ad for the Suwanee High School Football Program.  She knew when we booked her full session exactly what she wanted. Something you don’t typically get in Live Oak, FL.  The beach.  We set up a board on Pintrest & shared ideas, what to wear, poses for her Senior portraits & eventually I found a shot of an old VW Van we both loved.  I had a mission. To find a van we could use. I hit up some people I knew in Jacksonville Beach that may know someone with an old van & I was right. I was so excited when the women texted me a pic of the van & knew it was perfect. (& Meghan about ran when she saw the van turning down the street the night of the session. She was excited)

But the whole session wasn’t the van so we met near the beach, went through her trunk to choose the outfits for each area & hit up some neat backgrounds we found while we walked around the block….literally. We walked around the block & shot at the different interesting backgrounds we found.  That’s how I roll. Pretty random. Then we headed to the beach to include her favorite props (her sister & her dog) & a few more alone on the beach then met up with the van. It was alot of fun (even though at some point I realized I had the virus my daughter had..but I was determined to finish this session & make it wonderful).

Summer filled Senior Portrait Session

So, I saw this quote & HAD to share it…..it’s a perfect life quote. Especially when you’re consistently worrying about what others thing (& we ALL do it). Often we just need someone to give us a little push to make that leap. But it’s worth it.

It’s AUGUST. School is starting soon, things will be going into high gear for YOUR Senior Year!  Don’t forget to book your Senior Portrait session before the craziness begins!
